"For the past couple of summers, I have been watching with much interest the development of Cannonsgate at Bogue Sound. After careful consideration and numerous visits, I purchased a beautiful marina front lot with the intentions of building a home. There were several factors that effected my decision to purchase a lot in Cannonsgate. I was very impressed with the attention to details and the lay out of the planned community concept with covenants and bylaws that will protect the integrity of my investment. The magnificent club house, pool area, quaint mail office and gorgeous little turret by the marina make for an aesthetically unique community. In my opinion, there are no comparable lots listed in the area that offer the charm of the Charleston lifestyle at such an affordable price. The vision and concept of Cannonsgate may be difficult for some to grasp; however, after visiting Ion Village in Charleston, South Carolina I was sold on the architectural style and the advantages of a narrow lot. I am looking forward to less yard maintenance and relaxing on my front porch watching the boats come and go."

My enthusiasm for Cannonsgate is really beginning to increase. I believe that new buyers are now taking advantage of some “bargain basement” lot prices and that we will see many more new homes in this gorgeous location in the next year. With interest rates and building materials at very low levels, it is a good time for smart owners to begin the process of building their Cannonsgate home.
The HOA Board has worked through some difficult times without sacrificing any of the quality around Cannonsgate. The amenities are well maintained and there is no more attractive site in Carteret County in my opinion.
